Delete your Hobin account

This page explains how to delete your account in Hobin, the app by Goh Jin Wei, and what happens to your data.

Delete in the app (fastest)

1. Open Hobin and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Phone & security.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately.

Can’t use the app?

Email hobin.tsd@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Hobin account”. Send it from the email address of the Google or Apple account you sign in with, and include your Hobin display name. We may ask you to confirm the request before acting on it, and will complete it within 30 days.

What we delete

• Your profile, including photos and all profile details
• Sessions you host, with their chats and member lists
• Your messages in other sessions’ chats
• Your direct message conversations (for both participants)
• Friendships, “Good kaki” endorsements, blocks and reports you filed
• Notification settings, device push tokens and your sign-in account

What we keep

• Reports that other users made about you are kept for up to 2 years to investigate safety issues and prevent repeat abuse. They contain your former user ID, display name and the report details.
• Copies of deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 7 days before being overwritten.
