Safety Centre
Meeting new kakis should be fun and safe. Here’s how to look out for yourself and others when you use Hobin.
Before you meet
- Check the host’s profile and session details. If something feels off, don’t go.
- Chat in the app first. You don’t need to share your phone number or socials to join a session.
- Tell a friend or family member where you’re going and who with.
- Keep your exact home address private — the app only shows an approximate area.
When you meet
- Meet in a public place, especially the first time.
- Make your own way there and back. Don’t rely on someone you’ve just met for a ride.
- Stay in control of your belongings and, if drinks are involved, your drink.
- Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, leave — you don’t owe anyone an explanation.
Protect your privacy
- Don’t share financial details, passwords, or one-time codes with anyone.
- Be cautious if someone quickly pushes to move off the app or asks for money.
- Only share personal contact details when you’re comfortable.
Reporting and blocking
If a user makes you uncomfortable, breaks our Community Guidelines, or behaves suspiciously, report them from their profile or the session. You can also block users so they can’t contact you or see your sessions. Reports are confidential.
In an emergency
If you are in immediate danger, contact the Police at 999 or the ambulance/fire service at 995 (Singapore). For non-emergencies, the Police hotline is 1800 255 0000.
